Hello all, my name is Daniel and welcome to Contending 4 Christ (C4C) Apologetics ministry. Who am I and what is this ministry all about? Well, I'm glad you asked. I had a typical childhood, wonderful parents, sibling rivalry, and some rough patches in trying to figure out who I was. It was during a revival service in February 2009, in which I received Christ as my Savior. Evangelist Dave Young preached a message out of Philippians 3, in which Paul listed some mighty fine Jewish credentials that he was privileged to be the recipient of. And although he may have been considered the quintessential Jew, he realized that his righteousness was nothing compared to the righteousness he needed by faith in Jesus Christ. It was then that I realized, no matter how good I was, or eventually became, I'd never be able to reconcile myself back to God without the Savior; I immediately received Christ. Thanks to a great friend of mine (Matt), I even have the audio sermon that I got saved to!
Since then, the Holy Spirit has given me the gift of prophecy. No, not in the sense of foretelling the future (there are no modern day prophets), but rather in the sense of speaking the truth of God, calling sin sin, and defending the faith (I have been told I'm a black and white guy). Since then, the Lord has led me to start up the C4C Apologetics ministry in 2014 through my church (Open Door Baptist Church, Prattville, AL), in which ways of defending the faith in the midst of a secular society are discussed. What began as quarterly newsletters and blog entries, has transformed into a YouTube and Podcast channel ministry, bearing the same name. While the newsletters have ceased publication at this moment, I will try and post blog entries as I have the time and thoughts that God lays on my heart.
It is my hope and prayer that you find this ministry useful and edifying. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to send me an email at [email protected]. True, Bible-believing Christians are becoming scarce in the United States, and we need to continue to fight for the truth's of God, no matter how much it hurts or costs. My Savior said "blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness sake" (Matthew 5:10). So if speaking the truth (with grace and love) brings persecution, I say BRING IT ON! For we are not living for this world, but for the next.
